No Black Coffee at Spring Fiesta 2016

During an open discussion which took place this past week between Spring Fiesta festival director, Ricardo da Costa and head of Soulistic Music, Amaru Da Costa, it was disclosed that an unforeseen prestigious and vitally pivotal career opportunity had been presented to Black Coffee. One which unfortunately made it impossible for Black Coffee to honour his performance commitment to Spring Fiesta 2016. Ricardo da Costa explained, “Black Coffee’s team approached us with this obvious dilemma and naturally our initial reaction tended towards the selfish. But as his longtime supporters, we also recognise that Black Coffee is no longer only South Africa’s to hold onto and benefit from.” He further expressed, “Spring Fiesta fully supports and has encouraged Black Coffee to accept and embrace this unique opportunity which we believe will be seminal in further advancing and cementing his legacy on the global stage. MTV launches a throwback TV channel

New York — MTV is rebranding VH1 Classic as MTV Classic and says the channel plans to serve up heaps of nostalgia for fans of Beavis and Butt-head, Daria , Total Request Live, and other MTV staples. MTV says the channel will have "a special focus on the 1990s and early 2000s. " In addition to full-season marathons of The Real World, Road Rules and Laguna Beach , MTV says the channel will feature prime-time programming blocks that include episodes of Cribs, Jackass , Punk'd and others. MTV Unplugged episodes that MTV says haven't been aired in years also will be rerun. MTV Classic will debut on 1 August — 35 years to the day of MTV's debut. It's first show will be MTV Hour One, a rebroadcast of MTV's first hour of programming from 1981.

The 39-year-old rapper is a huge fan of Kim Kardashian West's provocative pictures and says Kim not sharing them with the world ''would be like Adele not singing''. He told Harper's Bazaar's ICONS September issue: ''I love her nude selfies. Like, I love the ones from the side, the back ones, and the front. I just love seeing her naked; I love nudity. AKA calls ‘naked Zille’ free speech

After social media went crazy at the sight of DA leaders’ private parts, ANC supporter AKA said ‘Let’s all laugh now together’. On Instagram on Thursday evening, rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, joined a chorus of ANC supporters and general Facebook and Twitter followers in praising a painting showing DA leaders naked. On his official Instagram account, akaworldwide, Forbes wrote: “Freedom of speech is nice ne? …. Or is this a problem now? They want to drone on about Freedom of Speech when paintings like this are drawn about our own President. Their cartoonists, and their “artists” They laugh. Let’s all laugh now together …. As South Africans.” He was referring to a host of recent paintings by Ayanda Mabulu, as well as The Spear by Brett Murray, which many defended despite offensive imagery of President Jacob Zuma’s genitalia. 'SA WILL AVOID RECESSION, GROWTH REMAINS LOW' Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan has raised concerned about the volatile labour market. JOHANNESBURG - Finance minister  Pravin Gordhan  has raised concerns about the country’s labour market. He was speaking at a business conference in Sandton. The minister believes the country will avoid a recession but it will record low growth like the rest of the world. Gordhan says he is concerned about the country’s volatile labour market, which has been plagued by strikes and above inflation wage demands. His comments come at a time when  wage negotiations  are taking place in the power, automotive and mining sectors. Initial demands range from 13 to 20 percent - well above inflation which currently stands at 6.3 percent. The minister says  the economy  will avoid a recession this year but growth remains low along with the rest of the world. An emotional Mabaso described how‚ along with Gugu’s wife Letshego‚ they climbed down the mountain from 8:30pm to 5am. Mabaso was speaking at a memorial for Gugu Zulu at Kyalami Race Track in Johannesburg. “Letshego‚ these words stuck with me. Letshego cried.
