As far as music awards in South Africa are concerned, 2017 has not Babes Wodumo's year. Mampintsha and Babes are beyond furious with Saturday nights SAMA results Babes took to social to vent over not winning any awards for her music. She said that she "refuses to believe" that her song can be played and trend as it did but not receive any award. She added that she is being recognised by international brands such as BET but failing to win even one award in SA is bizzare. Babes Wodumo leaves the #SAMA23 with dololo - Twitter reacts "Everyone saw what happened at the Metros has happened at the SAMAs. These awards are sold. Continue buying the awards. But it's fine, we won't starve. I will always be Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha will remain Mampintsha," Babes said.

Innocent and Millicent were giving a talk at Zonderwater Maximum Security Prison in Pretoria when they decided to reveal their very personal story about their father. "My sister and I didn't even think that this was a story worth telling until we told it and people spoke about how it has touched them. We grew up taunted by outside people who always wanted to tell us what horrible things our father had done. Because we never knew him, we didn't understand," she said.
