Black Coffee blesses AkA’s manager with a Hot Slap
By Tshepo Bareetseng
There is a statement that has been released which states that DJ Black Coffee has publicly apologised to AKA's road manager Tshiamo Letshwene for planting a stinging slap on him at a show. The South African house DJ, Black Coffee and AKA's camp have been hogging headlines ever since a video of the house Music DJ hitting Tshiamo went viral.
The BET Award winner, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, was caught on camera during a heated argument with Tshiamo Letshwen, allegedly over time schedules in Polokwane.
The two, AKA and Black Coffee have had beef before on twitter about arguing about South African Hip Hop artists and the sound itself. Black Coffee who once said that “the South African is a mess and it’s easy to make” provoked AKA and started throwing shots at each other late last year.
The disaster has captured the attention of fans, with Tshiamo laying assault charges against Black Coffee. The whole reason for this fight or controversy to take place was because AKA arrived two hours late for his performance but wanted to go on stage regardless of who was scheduled to perform next.
The ‘Baddest and All Eyes on Me’ hit maker AKA was scheduled to perform for 35 minutes between the hours of 22:10 and 22:45 while Black Coffee was scheduled to be on stage for an hour between 12:30 and 01:30. AKA and his team arrived just minutes before Black Coffee was scheduled to perform and wanted to use Black Coffee’s slot to perform which drove Black Coffee insane.
In a video by www.zkhiphani.com , Black Coffee is seen arguing with AKA’s road manager Tshiamo for a while before blessing him with a hot slap.
Following this incident a source says that ‘AKA went on to tell his fans to tell his fans to ask DStv for their money back’. The South African Hip Hop SuperMega took it to twitter, the clearly furious AKA said that he would have been painted as an ‘a**hole* had he retaliated.
It has been confirmed that assault charges have been laid against DJ Black Coffee by AKA's road manager Tshiamo Letshwene. This comes hot on the heels of an argument between Black Coffee and Tshiamo, which saw the house music genius planting a stinging smack on Tshiamo. Speaking to TMG Entertainment, AKA's PR manager Sheila Afari confirmed that Tshiamo has laid assault charges against Black Coffee. South African DJ Black Coffee has apologised to his fans for his behaviour at the DSTV iRock Music Festival where he slapped rapper AKA’s road manager.
It’s understood Kiernan Forbes well known as AKA, and his team set up on stage during what was supposed to be Black Coffee’s time to perform.
But then, the Clap Your Hands hit maker paused his set at KONG nightclub in Rosebank to say a few words to his fans, which was his apology about his behaviour.
