Motswako's first lady, Fifi Cooper to talk about why she's been relatively quite in 2016. That's because she's been raking these awards yo! She lets her fans know what she's working on right now heading into 2017 and the world is surely excited to hear what she comes up with for the next album.

What's really dope is how she cites the success and growth of SA hip hop as an inspiration to her too. "I swear, this year, the year before and 2014 have really been winning years for us", she said.

West - who previously claimed he was owed a $3.5 million in unpaid advances and bonuses by Tidal - said: "Even at the risk of my own success, my own career. The nominees for the 2017 awards were announced at a glitzy event in Johannesburg on Tuesday evening, attended by some of the biggest names in SA music. Amazulu hitmaker Amanda Black was perhaps the happiest on the night, scoring nominations in the Best Pop, Best Female, Best RnB, Best New Artist and Song of the Year categories. Babes Wodumo, Nasty C and Kwesta all scored four nominations each. The Song of the Year category will be contested by Babes Wodumo (Wololo), Musa & Robbie Malinga (Mthande) and many more. The 16th Metro FM Music Awards will take place at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre on February 25.
